Basketball Game Preview: Arcadia/Loup City Rebels vs. Central Valley Cougars

Having just played yesterday, the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels will get right back to it and host the Central Valley Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arcadia/Loup City is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Arcadia/Loup City is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Gibbon on Friday as Arcadia/Loup City made off with a 61-41 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-12.

Arcadia/Loup City can attribute much of their success to Eva Jaixen, who posted 17 points, and Tayler Obermiller, who had 14 points. That's the most points Obermiller has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Olivia Fitzgerald, who put up eight points.

Meanwhile, Central Valley came up short against Fullerton on Thursday, falling 56-32. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arcadia/Loup City's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Central Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Things could have been worse for Arcadia/Loup City, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-36 loss to Central Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023.
