The Pine Creek Eagles will take on the Vista Ridge Wolves at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Vista Ridge's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Pine Creek hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Eagles never let Fountain-Fort Carson get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Wednesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Abigail *Abby* Stenerson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kailani *Kai* Shideler was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Ahlanna Rymski was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Pine Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fountain-Fort Carson only posted an OBP of .062.
Vista Ridge came out on top against Rampart on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Wolves put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 14-5 win.
Vista Ridge let Jocelynn Kalkman and Jaylani Jusino run wild. Kalkman went 2-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while Jusino went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Lavaiah Trujillo also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Pine Creek's record is now 16-3. As for Vista Ridge, their record now sits at 13-4.
Vista Ridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pine Creek has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Vista Ridge, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given Pine Creek's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolves will need to find a way to close that gap.
