1. Cherry Creek (4-1) won vs. No. 4 Regis Jesuit, 42-14. Jordan Herron ran in touchdowns from 20 and five yards, Brian Rudden threw touchdown passes of 85 and 38 yards, and the Creek defense didn’t give up a touchdown until there was less than six minutes left in the fourth quarter. Next week: at Cherokee Trail, 7 p.m. Sept. 29

2. Columbine (5-0) won at Fort Collins, 48-7. Josh Snyder scored one touchdown receiving and another running as the Rebels raced out to a 28-0 halftime lead, then added another scoring run in the second half to push the advantage to 41-0. On the other side, the Columbine defense held an opponent to single-digit scoring for the fourth straight week. Next week: vs. Pomona, 7 p.m. Sept. 29

3. Ralston Valley (3-2) lost at No. 6 Valor Christian, 27-23. The Mustangs’ bid for a third straight win over a top-10 team was dashed after Valor closed out the game with 20 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Diano Benallo and James Wochner each punched in 1-yard touchdown runs, and quarterback Logan Madden found Josh Rillos for a 40-yard touchdown to give RV a 23-7 lead early in the fourth, but Valor scored three straight TDs to escape with the win. Next week: vs. Lakewood, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30

4. Regis Jesuit (2-3) lost at No. 1 Cherry Creek, 42-14. D’andre Barnes scored a pair of touchdowns, including a 93-yard kick return in the first half, but the normally explosive Raiders offense could not get much going against the top-ranked Bruins. Next week: vs. Douglas County, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 30

5. Grandview (4-1) won vs. Pomona, 42-14. Sophomore Donavon Vernon exploded for 148 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries, while senior Chase Dahir added 77 yards and a score on nine carries as the Wolves rumbled for 280 yards on the ground in a game that saw them jump out to a 42-0 lead early in third quarter. 6. Valor Christian (3-2) won vs. No. 3 Ralston Valley, 27-23. Down 16 points early in the fourth quarter, the Eagles scored 20 straight to take down Ralston Valley on homecoming. Asher Weiner and Jake Krekeler scored on runs of 1 and 10 yards, respectively, then Valor recovered an onside kick with 2:56 to go. Three plays later, Gabe Sawchuk scored his second touchdown of the night on a 36-yard sweep that proved to be the game-winner. Next week: vs. Castle View, 7 p.m. Sept. 29

Legend’s John Brookhart threw a pair of TDs in the second half, the last one pulling the Titans within seven points, but that was as close as they would get. Next week: at Chaparral, 3:15 p.m. Sept. 30

10. Rock Canyon (5-0) won at Arapahoe, 28-17. The Jaguars are 5-0 for the first time in program history thanks in part to a two-touchdown night from Deandre Horn, who scored on a punt return and 25-yard pass from Luke Wennogle. The RC quarterback ran in a TD of his own early in the second half, then found Austin Bowker for another scoring pass to give the Jaguars a 28-9 cushion that held up. Next week: vs. Highlands Ranch, 7 p.m. Sept. 30
