MaxPreps continues to add to its collection of high school sports record books with the addition of girls basketball record books for all 50 states.
The records include familiar names like Caitlin Clark in Iowa, Elena Delle Donne in Delaware and Lisa Leslie in California.
The record books also include high school legends like Tracy Lis in Connecticut, Jackie Stiles in Kansas and Adrian McGowen in Texas. They include every 3,000-point scorer, every player with over 100 points in a game and thousands more.
Sources include state associations record books, coaches association record books, MaxPreps leaderboards and independent sites dedicated to preserving girls high school basketball history, along with various newspaper articles retrieved from Newspapers.com.
Some of the record books are more complete than others. While states like Texas, California and Minnesota have extensive record archives, others have much fewer documented entries. That's where you come in. Any fan who knows of records that should be added is encouraged to contact MaxPreps with updates and historical information.
The record books can regularly be found on the MaxPreps National High School Girls Basketball Record Book. The link can be found on the Girls Basketball drop-down menu at the top of the page. The state record books can be found within the landing page at the bottom.
