Despite the defeat, Muncie Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mason Ferguson rushed for 84 yards and one score on only seven carries, and also threw for 141 yards and one touchdown. Ferguson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 96-yard run. Muncie Central also got a significant boost from Dae'Cion Echols, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.
