Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Dunmore was a bit more limited in their matchup on Sunday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mid Valley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Dunmore has scored all season.
Dunmore saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Cady, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Lakeland's record is now 0-2. As for Dunmore, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
Lakeland took their win against Dunmore in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 8-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeland since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
