Lake Norman Charter and Community School of Davidson are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Knights will be playing at home against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lake Norman Charter took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Pine Lake Prep by a score of 20-7. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Pride recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Lake Norman Charter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sander Griffin and Tristan English. English has become a key player for Lake Norman Charter: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least one interception, but 1-2 otherwise. Logan Frate was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making 17 total tackles (0.5 for loss).
Meanwhile, Community School of Davidson beat Christ the King 28-21 on Friday.
Lake Norman Charter better keep an eye on Nixon Willis. He was instrumental in Community School of Davidson's win, rushing for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
Community School of Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Community School of Davidson's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Gregg Jones, Collin McWilliams, and Cade Rasmussen, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Christ the King's side was Jones, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 11 total tackles.
The win got Lake Norman Charter back to even at 3-3. As for Community School of Davidson, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Lake Norman Charter was taken down by Community School of Davidson 42-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
