Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northside - Pinetown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Griffin Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Nick Moore was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Northside - Pinetown's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points per game. As for Southside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northside - Pinetown will take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jones has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three matches. As for Southside, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Pamlico County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Seahawks in North Carolina (the Hurricanes are ranked 273rd, while the Seahawks are ranked 626th).
