The Boquet Valley Griffins will be playing at home against the Willsboro Central Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boquet Valley will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Boquet Valley stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 59-32 victory over Chazy on the road. Given Boquet Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Chazy is ranked 599th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jackson Hooper was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. He also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Carson Leibeck, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Willsboro Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 74-40 loss at the hands of Keene Central.
Boquet Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Willsboro Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Boquet Valley against Willsboro Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 69-23 win. Does Boquet Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Willsboro Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
