The Orestimba Warriors had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.8 points), and they went ahead and made it 14 on Friday. They really took it to Gustine for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-30 victory at home. Orestimba has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orestimba to victory, but perhaps none more so than Angel Reynoso, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Devon Bell was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Orestimba pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Gustine, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
Orestimba will head out on the road to square off against Denair at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Denair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1158th, while Orestimba is ranked 352nd). As for Gustine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Le Grand at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Le Grand and Gustine are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
