Southwick Regional had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Brooke Comee made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Eleanor Rolandini and Alyssa Bohn did most of the damage at the plate: Rolandini got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, five runs, and two triples, while Bohn went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases Rolandini has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Hailey Gargano, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
