The Tumwater Thunderbirds's five-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They came out on top against Capital by a score of 60-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tumwater also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Tumwater's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Clay Morgan was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Tumwater's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Capital, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Tumwater will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against WF West at 7:00 p.m. WF West will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Capital, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
