Meanwhile, Whitinsville Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 61-39 margin over University Park.
Whitinsville Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Isaiah Plantinga, who scored 20 points, and Caleb Deters, who scored 24 points.
Assabet Valley RVT's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Whitinsville Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Assabet Valley RVT was dealt a bruising 64-35 defeat at the hands of Whitinsville Christian in their previous meeting back in February. Can Assabet Valley RVT avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
