Basketball Recap: Tamarac Starts Season with Victory at Home

Tamarac gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 75-41 victory over the Rensselaer Rams. The Bengals haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Leading Tamarac to victory were Sam Kuiken and Braiden Standfield. Kuiken went 7-for-11 on his way to 16 points and six boards, while Standfield posted 11 points and five steals. The matchup was Kuiken's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Nicky Desso was another key player, putting up nine points.

Tamarac didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-52 victory against Gloversville on the 7th. As for Rensselaer, they will face off against Taconic Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season.
