Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Chipley

Chipley entered their tilt with Clinton County on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Adaeza Bellamy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzlee Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Chipley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Chipley's record is now 12-3. As for Clinton County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Chipley and Clinton County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Tigers will face off against Sneads at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (99 vs. 304). Meanwhile, Clinton County (ranked 106th) will meet Vernon (ranked 359th) at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
