Coral Reef is on a four-game streak of home losses, Killian a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Coral Reef Barracudas will take on the Killian Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Coral Reef has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Ransom Everglades scored an imposing 65 points on Thursday, Coral Reef still came out on top. Coral Reef strolled past Ransom Everglades with points to spare, taking the game 81-65.
Coral Reef found their leader in underclassman Corey Gellineau, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Killian ended up a good deal behind Southwest on Monday and lost 57-41.
Palmetto's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Coral Reef's loss dropped theirs to 0-4.
Coral Reef came up short against Killian when the teams last played back in January, falling 51-45. Thankfully for Coral Reef, Jermaine Roper (who scored 18 points along with 4 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
