This season hasn't been kind to the Crenshaw Christian Academy Cougars, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 62-15 loss at the hands of Sparta Academy. Crenshaw Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-10.
Leading Sparta Academy to victory were Kaitlyn Johnson and Jamie Ellissa Deason. Johnson dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten steals, while Deason scored 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Johnson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Mary Trainham Brock was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six steals.
Crenshaw Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sparta Academy, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
