After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Front Range Christian, Lyons was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Justice Phoenix 58-20. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Phoenix: they've now won five in a row.

Grady Pickering was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 106 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Pickering was just one part of a punishing run game: Lyons was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 622 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Lyons' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Justice, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
