The Landon Bears will head out on the road to take on the St. Albans Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Landon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
Landon suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Bullis on the road and fell 76-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Landon has suffered against Bullis since January 22, 2019.
Landon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Francis Mannino, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and Aristeides John Hobson who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Mannino is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played.
Meanwhile, St. Albans stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Episcopal as St. Albans made off with a 67-46 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Albans.
Landon's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for St. Albans, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Landon strolled past St. Albans in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 75-58. Will Landon repeat their success, or does St. Albans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
