After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centerburg, Mt. Gilead was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-20 win over the Northmor Golden Knights. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 16-14 victory the Golden Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.
Northmor's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Miley, who threw for 231 yards and three TDs while completing 73% of his passes. A healthy portion of Miley's aerial production (110 yards to be exact) went to Conner Stockdale, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
