On Tuesday, the Carlsbad Lancers's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against San Dieguito Academy and snuck past 2-1. Carlsbad found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Three Carlsbad players were handed yellow cards.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Cain Evans and
Yordan Marinov, who scored both of Carlsbad's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 14 so far this season.
Carlsbad's win bumped their record up to 12-4-2. As for San Dieguito Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11-2.
Carlsbad does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Dieguito Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Cathedral Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
