Salesian College Preparatory's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madalyn Kanazawa, who scored 14 points along with six steals and five assists. Ayla Rege was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Salesian College Preparatory is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Saint Mary's, they dropped their record down to 10-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Salesian College Preparatory will be playing at home against St. Patrick-St. Vincent at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Patrick-St. Vincent has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Saint Mary's, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against De Anza at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. De Anza has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
