The Grimsley Whirlies entered their tilt with the Page Pirates with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Grimsley snuck past Page with a 36-32 victory on Friday. This was payback for Grimsley, who suffered a 46-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading Grimsley to victory were Sanaya Blount and Autumn Clark. Blount scored ten points along with three steals, while Clark scored ten points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Clark has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Alyssa Graves was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Page lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hattie Sloyan. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Hailee Cook, who scored eight points.
Grimsley pushed their record up to 6-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Page, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
