On Tuesday, Crofton was able to grind out a solid win over Wakefield, taking the game 50-37.
Braxston Foxhoven was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 15 points. Trevor Allen was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Despite the defeat, Wakefield saw an underclassman step up: Cael Johnson scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Borg, who scored seven points.
Crofton's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Wakefield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crofton will take on Pierce at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Pierce is ranked 157th, while Crofton is ranked 136th). As for Wakefield, they will head out on the road to face off against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Laurel-Concord-Coleridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
