Colonia (N.J.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat New Brunswick (N.J.), 48-14, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Sam Pero touchdown run in the first quarter, the Patriots led 20-7 at the half.
Colonia grew its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored three times in the third, including once on a
Tenny Adewusi touchdown pass to Pero.
A 39-14 Colonia victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The win was a nice bounce back for Colonia, which lost to St. Joseph last week, 16-7. The loss was the third in a row for the Zebras.
Colonia (3-1) will play a Greater Middlesex - White game against Perth Amboy next week, while New Brunswick (0-3) will take on Carteret also in a Greater Middlesex - White game.
