The Kofa Kings can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 68-43 margin over Independence. Kofa's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Elijah Braveheart was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luis Negrete, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Kofa's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Independence, they bumped their record down to 4-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kofa will square off against Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Independence, they will head out on the road to face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
