Clawson has gone 9-1 against Center Line recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Clawson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
Clawson's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Clintondale. Considering the Trojans have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Trent Stephan and Jackson Hein made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Stephan tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Hein pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. At the plate, Stephan went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Hein earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base. Those two hits gave Stephan a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elliott Groves, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Steven Chapman was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Clawson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Center Line was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 10-2 to New Haven. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Center Line saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Watters, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Dylan Fenger also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Clawson pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Center Line, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Clawson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Center Line struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Clawson was able to grind out a solid win over Center Line when the teams last played back in April, winning 5-2. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
