Tanner Whitaker tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Cooper Brennan was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Tyler Riley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Horizon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Fairview's record is now 13-6. As for Horizon, their record now sits at 11-8.
Fairview was able to grind out a solid victory over Horizon in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 12-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
