Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highlands). Everything went their way against the Martin Tigers on Friday as the Highlands Owls made off with a 19-0 victory. Ciera Garcia was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Garcia was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Highlands got a massive performance out of Jenesis Rodriguez, who went a perfect3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. As for Martin, they will be taking part in a tournament against Devine at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Devine will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Martin surely won't give up without a fight.
