For the first time this season, Ripon Christian will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Wednesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hilmar Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ripon Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Chavez a 10-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their two-run performance the match before.

Jordan Luisi made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single hit, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Wadlow, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. Stadtler Postma was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Hilmar put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Turlock Christian as Hilmar made off with an 11-0 win. Hilmar's victory was all the more impressive since the Eagles were averaging only 3.86 runs allowed on the season.
Jacob Sward was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ian Kohen, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Ripon Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hilmar, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0.
Ripon Christian couldn't quite finish off Hilmar in their previous matchup back in February of 2016 and fell 3-1. Can Ripon Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
