The Donaldsonville Tigers pushed their score all the way to 42 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 68-42 walloping at the hands of Erath. Donaldsonville lost against Erath in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 38-32 score last time.
Donaldsonville's loss came despite strong showings from Blake Turner and Raiyen Oatis. Turner rushed for 30 yards and two touchdowns, while Oatis picked up 138 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Donald Brown was another key contributor, throwing for seven yards and a touchdown.
Donaldsonville has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Erath, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
Donaldsonville will head out on the road to face off against Amite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Erath does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
