The Keith Bears pushed their score all the way to 81 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 87-81 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dallas County. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Thursday (56), Keith still had to take the loss.
Keith's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tommy Tisdale III, who scored 41 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tisdale III has scored all season. Miles Hannah was another key contributor, scoring 24 points.
Dallas County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Davis III led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists. Davis III hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Cameron King, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Keith and nudges their season record down to 7-8. As for Dallas County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-9-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keith won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Charles Henderson at 2:00 p.m. on January 6th. As for Dallas County, they will be playing at home against Wilcox Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilcox Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 771 points over their last 12 matches.
