Stockbridge managed to bank 134 more yards than its opponent Carrollton last week, and going the extra distance paid off. Stockbridge put the hurt on Carrollton with a conclusive 48 - 3 victory. That 45-point margin marks the most Stockbridge has won by all season. The win also thrust it into the power rankings, where the team now holds the 25th spot.
Can't Touch This
Colquitt County's 45 - 0 win over North Gwinnett last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Ty Leggett. Leggett earned four touchdowns and 137 yards rushing the ball. That performance landed Leggett among the top power-ranked players for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Lowndes (4th in the power rankings) and Grayson (11th). Lowndes finished ahead of Grayson by a score of 20 - 15. One of the main ringleaders for Lowndes was senior Travis Tisdale, who showed off his agility by splitting the defense to the tune of 132 yards.
No Stoppin 'Em
Lee County has been an offensive powerhouse for six straight weeks after the team lit up the scoreboard again last week. It took its game against Creekview by a confident 42 - 20 score. Lee County did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps national rankings indicated. At 62 total points, this was the highest scoring power ranking game of the week.
