McNair and Towers are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The McNair Mustangs will challenge the Towers Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McNair is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 82-39, which was the final score in McNair's tilt against Greenforest on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 467th, while the Eagles are ranked 26th).

Kente Taylor
| 02/06/25 @ Greenforest | 57% |
| 12/07/24 @ King's Ridge Christian | 50% |
| 01/31/25 vs Lamar County | 46% |
| 12/13/24 vs Redan | 45% |
| 11/15/24 vs Clarkston | 44% |
McNair's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kente Taylor, who went 6 for 9 en route to 23 points. The dominant performance also gave Taylor a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (57%).
Meanwhile, Towers didn't have too much trouble with Southwest Atlanta Christian on Thursday as they won 53-37. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.
Towers' win came from a few key players McNair will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jalen Kelly, who posted 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Domyius Mcfarland, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points in addition to six boards and five steals.
Towers smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.
Towers' record now sits at 15-8. As for McNair, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. McNair hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.9 points per game. However, it's not like Towers struggles in that department as they've been averaging 67.1 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
McNair was dealt a bruising 81-38 defeat at the hands of Towers in their previous matchup back in January. Can McNair avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
