Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clayton walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the D.H. Conley Vikings 47-7. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won eight games by 29 points or more so far this season.

The win (which was Clayton's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points on average over those games. As for D.H. Conley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Coming up, Clayton will welcome Southeast Raleigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. D.H. Conley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
