The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons won the last time they faced the Kendrick Cherokees, and things went their way on Saturday too. Academy for Classical Education breezed by the Cherokees on the road to the tune of 49-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Academy for Classical Education.
Leading Academy for Classical Education to victory were Sara Rhett Farmer and Karlee Yates. Farmer scored 16 points, while Yates dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Yates is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsyn Yates, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds and five assists.
The win got Academy for Classical Education back to even at 9-9. As for Kendrick, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
Academy for Classical Education and the Chargers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
