The Liberty Christian Academy Heat pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-63 to Bethel Christian Academy. Liberty Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bethel Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Heat players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mark Bachmann, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Cavanaugh, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Liberty Christian Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-9. As for Bethel Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.
Liberty Christian Academy will be playing at home against New Bern Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully New Bern Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Greenville Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
