On Saturday, McKeel Academy suffered a rough 61-41 loss at the hands of Eustis. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McKeel Academy has scored all season.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David St. Jean, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Axel Acevedo, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
McKeel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Eustis, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
McKeel Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Oasis Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Eustis and Leesburg will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Leesburg is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
