Basketball Game Preview: LaProgresiva Presbyterian Knights vs. Miami Union Academy Jaguars

The LaProgresiva Presbyterian Knights will challenge the Miami Union Academy Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LaProgresiva Presbyterian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Miami Union Academy beat Varsity Opponent 56-50 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Miami Union Academy found their leader in sophomore Jadon Savizon, who scored 24 points and seven assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Savizon has scored at least a third of Miami Union Academy's points. Chase Remmings was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Miami Union Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for LaProgresiva Presbyterian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: LaProgresiva Presbyterian has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 27.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Miami Union Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.5 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
