Fans got a thrill when Evan Ray and Tyler Strope connected against Zion Christian Academy. The connection was good for 59 yards, the longest such play in A District 9 this season.
Eagleville scaled the state rankings by moving to 163 from 199 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of beating Forrest 10-3.
Huntland's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ray threw for 159 and 3 touchdowns and Strope had 103 yards receiving. On the ground Cameron Mahaffey contributed 97 yards.
