DeAvery Durham continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Demarquis Durham was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Family Community Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They took a hard 83-65 fall against Claiborne Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Gibsland-Coleman's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9. As for Family Community Christian, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-19.
Everything came up roses for Gibsland-Coleman against Family Community Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 80-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gibsland-Coleman since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
