For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Morgan and River View have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Black Bears. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Black Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Allia Rush was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. Rush was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Braylen Mccoy was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs. Payton Lahmers also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
