The Cascade Champions can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past Eagleville with a 58-52 victory. This was payback for Cascade, who suffered a 53-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Cascade got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaegan Young out in front who scored 18 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence Miller, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Cascade's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Eagleville, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Cascade will head out on the road to face off against Grundy County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Grundy County's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Cascade has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Eagleville will take on Huntland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
