Arcadia/Loup City is 2-8 against Wood River since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Arcadia/Loup City Rebels will take on the Wood River Eagles in a tournament on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
If Arcadia/Loup City beats Wood River with 45 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Arcadia/Loup City came out on top against Burwell by a score of 45-37 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

Eva Jaixen was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Those 21 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Rademacher, who posted ten points and five boards.
Meanwhile, Wood River can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 61-54 win over Nebraska Christian.
Wood River found their leader in sophomore Lainey Paulk, who went 9 of 16 en route to 29 points and six rebounds. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for Paulk. Atley Brabec was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six assists and five boards.
Wood River was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.
Wood River's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-14. As for Arcadia/Loup City, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Arcadia/Loup City has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 24.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Wood River struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
