It's playoff time, and Valley View had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Wyoming Cowboys by a score of 31-21 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
A big part of Valley View's win came down to the chemistry between Anthony Valenti and his top target Brodie Hopkins. Valenti rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries while Hopkins rushed for 119 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing yards Valenti has posted since back in September of 2024.
Valley View's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Wyoming, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.
Looking ahead, Valley View will take on Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Spartans 14.7, the Eagles 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Wyoming does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
