This season hasn't been kind to the Gateway Gators, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They were dealt a 97-36 defeat at the hands of De Anza on Saturday. Gateway was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-20.
Ahmari Otis had an outrageously good game for De Anza as he scored 35 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Otis has scored at least 25% of De Anza's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacari Madison, who scored 20 points.
Gateway's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for De Anza, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Gateway will head out on the road to face off against Burton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for De Anza, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
