The McCauley Christian Academy Warriors will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Town East Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
After a string of six wins, McCauley Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out last Monday. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vanguard Christian.
Meanwhile, Town East Christian came up short against the Knights on Monday and fell 51-44.
Despite the loss, Town East Christian got a solid performance out of Owen Cadena, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Steven Windhorst was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Town East Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
McCauley Christian Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9. As for Town East Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Everything came up roses for McCauley Christian Academy against the Eagles in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 66-39 win. Will McCauley Christian Academy repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
