Hanover had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Axtell Eagles on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Drew Bruna paced Hanover's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bruna got some help from Katie Holle and her 23 assists. Finally, Bruna was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Hanover's victory bumped their record up to 33-7. As for Axtell, with the loss, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 27-14.

Coincidentally, Hanover and Axtell will both be playing Marais des Cygnes Valley the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 11:00 p.m.
