Football Recap: Armon Long and Karson Forge Lead the Defense for Warren Win

Warren won the last time they faced Dominguez and things went their way on Friday too. The Bears put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 26-3 win. The Bears not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 22, 2024 (when they won 41-17).

Warren didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Armon Long and Karson Forge. Forge is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another thorn in Dominguez's side was Aliathus Scaife, who picked up 2.5 sacks and made six total tackles (5.0 for loss).

The victory made it two in a row for Warren and bumps their season record up to 2-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 16 points in those games. As for Dominguez, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Warren will challenge Mayfair at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Monsoons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Dominguez, they will take on La Mirada at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dons are facing the Matadores at the right time seeing as the Matadores are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
