The Totino-Grace Eagles won the last time they faced the Fridley Tigers, and things went their way on Saturday too. Totino-Grace claimed a resounding 46-19 victory over Fridley at home.
Totino-Grace's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Kuharski, who rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Kuharski was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquel Keten, who rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Totino-Grace's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Fridley, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
Totino-Grace will square off against St. Anthony Village at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Anthony Village will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Totino-Grace is ranked 90th). Fridley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
